Anjana Baliga is a Life
Coach, Mental Health Counsellor, and an Author. She is an expert coach who
teaches about dealing with problems of weak memory, anger management, stress
management, anxiety, depression, addiction, etc.
The greatest challenge in
today's world is lack of sleep, frustration, and financial crises.
Anjana Baliga guides us
with love and inspiration. She explains how to deal with these problems with
ease and live a peaceful & respectable life.
Anjana Baliga is also an
NLP practitioner, clinical hypnotherapist, and a certified Past Life
Regressionist (Vipassana) Meditator who believes that there is so much to live
than just what we see from our normal eyes and mundane mind. She believes one
should understand human behavior & human psychology to be a better person.
1. Anjana, tell us about yourself, your professional background, and the
journey till here?
A voracious reader,
memory trainer, life coach, NLP practitioner hypnotherapist from the past 15
years, I consider myself a learner by the attitude. I don’t want to lead a
hypocritical life, having said that, I want to be open and crystal clear from
both personal and professional aspects.
I'm always in gratitude
mode, thanking the universe for creating me as beautiful as I am from within
and outside.
I started my journey
seeking truth and balance in life. In the beginning, I did ‘Art of living and
Shambhavi Kriya’ and some other courses. As time passed by, I noticed that Life
is beautiful but not easy to realize that. It is because we don’t quite
understand our inner world. If we sort this out, life appears to be beautiful,
the way it is actually.
I lost my brother when I
was just 21. It was a tough time. My beloved mother passed away recently in
2019. My life is no different from others, facing a lot of hardships like
anyone else in the same boat with all ups and downs in life.
All these hard times
strengthened me. Now, I want to empower people as a Life Coach and a Counsellor.
I want to help people get out of this
vicious cycle of negativity which is mostly self-created. I want to teach, how
we can come out of this with self-love, meditation, and positivity.
2. Why did you choose your profession as a Life
Coach?
I always wanted to enrich
the lives of others. I think being a life coach gives me great satisfaction
professionally. A life coach is a type of wellness professional who helps
people progress in their lives to attain greater fulfillment. Life coaches to
aid their clients in improving their relationships, careers, and day-to-day
lives.
Life coaches can help you
clarify your goals, identify the obstacles holding you back, and then come up
with strategies for overcoming each obstacle. In creating these strategies,
life coaches target your unique skills and gifts. By helping to make the most
of your strengths, life coaches provide the support you need to achieve
long-lasting change.
3. What do you mean by, when you say you are a Hypnotherapist.
What is past life regression?
Hypnotherapy is a
technique that utilizes hypnosis to aid in the treatment of specific symptoms
or health conditions. Hypnotherapy works by inducing a hypnotic state marked by
waking awareness that allows people to experience detached external attention.
It helps to focus on inner experiences.
It is sometimes used as
part of a treatment for phobias and other anxiety disorders. It is also
sometimes used for pain management, weight loss, smoking cessation, and a
variety of other applications. Modern researchers have further explored how
hypnosis can be used, which conditions it can treat, and how effective it may
be compared to other treatments.
Any standard Hypnotherapy
utilizes techniques like Relaxation, Suggestion, Coping skills & Exploration
of past experiences. Hypnotherapy may also be used by licensed physicians and
psychologists in the treatment of conditions like anxiety disorders, depression
eating disorders, etc.
Past Life Regression
Past Life Regression is a
gentle form of hypnotherapy that takes an individual back through time to their
previous lives or incarnations by accessing memories and experiences that are
normally hidden in their subconscious mind. Life today is so busy and so
‘noisy’ that these memories are usually concealed beneath the noise of everyday
thoughts. A PLR session guides you through to dive into a deeply quiet and
peaceful state where it’s far easier to locate the memories held in your
subconscious mind.
4. What do you feel is the difference between a person
who practices meditation & the healing process to the one who does not?
There is a lot of
difference in how you approach things. Many research studies have shown that
meditation helps in improving one's mental and physical health, increases our
empathy or kindness levels, boosts our problem solving and decision-making
skills, reduces stress levels, and increases focus.
Let me share my personal
experience. In 2014 I disciplined my life by doing Shambhavi Kriya (inner
engineering from ISHA Foundation). This helped me discover more healing
modalities and helped me to explore the hidden truths about the universe like
the energy centers, sound therapy, life coaching, and hypnotherapy.
After meditating, I found
my creative energy flowed easily. I could write all day, sometimes into the
night without feeling tired or sleepy.
What really changed was
how I worked during the day. Before, I’d find myself distracted between
different things, and feeling drained out if I spent a few hours working in the
kitchen. After meditating, I found my creative energy flowed easily and I could
work all day, without feeling tired or sleepy. It is a fact, I finished my book
‘10X Brain Power Can Be Yours Too’ during this time.
I also began noticing how
if I set goals, then things happened along the way to help me get there. This
might sound a bit weird, but I put it down to developing a single-minded focus
and directing energy to the right tasks. My brain became better at cutting
through the noise and life clutter.
Good ideas became more
frequent and I started implementing them in my business, which also changed. I
was more productive and proactive when faced with situations, and I managed my
emotions better too.
5. Currently in the world, people are under too much
stress and anxiety - what according to you Anjana is the solution to these
problems?
Stay healthy and manage
stress
I would say, exercise is
the best way to stay healthy and manage stress. For the biggest benefits of
exercise, it is recommended to do at least two and half hours of
moderate-intensity physical activity (example brisk walking) each week, 1 hour
and 15 minutes of vigorous-intensity activity (such as jogging/jumping jacks or
swimming laps), or a combination of the two.
It is generally advised,
whenever you are feeling anxious or stressed
Try to identify, what
triggers your anxiety
Is it work, family,
school, or something else you can identify? Write in a diary or a personal
notebook when you’re feeling stressed or anxious, and look for a pattern. This
helps.
Take a time-out for
yourself
Practice yoga, listen to
music, meditate, get a massage, or learn relaxation techniques. Stepping back
from the problem helps clear your head.
Eat well-balanced meals
Do not skip any meals. Do
keep healthful, energy-boosting snacks on hand.
Don’t deprive yourself of
sleep
When stressed, your body
needs additional sleep and rest.
Exercise daily
We must exercise daily to
feel good and maintain our health.
Do your best
Instead of aiming for
perfection, be proud of however close you get.
Try this one out - talk
to someone
Tell friends and family
you’re feeling overwhelmed, and let them know how they can help you. You must
let yourself out even if that means seeking professional help from a physician,
therapist, or life coach.
6. Why do you think, in the times of Corona, your
professional services are required more than ever before?
Help understanding
anxiety
If you ask me – in these
times of Corona, I help my clients identify and understand their underlying
anxiety. We all know, it’s a frightening time. We are amid a worldwide
pandemic. Many places are partially shut down, others struggling to reopen
safely. Some of us are in the areas where coronavirus infection rates are
getting worse. Others are bracing for what may come next. And all of us are
watching the headlines and wondering, “When is this going to end?”
For many, the uncertain
situation of coronavirus is very hard to handle. We don’t know how we’ll be
impacted. How long this will last, or how bad things might get. But there are
many things you can do—even in the face of this unique crisis—to manage your
anxiety and fears.
There’s a lot of
misinformation that feeds fear. It’s important to be discerning about what you
read and watch. For this:
Stick to trustworthy
sources
Limit how often you check
for updates.
We’re in a time of
massive upheaval. There are so many things outside our control, including how
long the pandemic lasts. All this just makes us feel drained, anxious and
overwhelmed.
When anyone gets fearful
of what might happen, that's the time they need a life coach. They need a
mentor to sail them through these tough times. So our need is more in these
times.
I give options to my
client to stay with me online and whenever they need my services.
7. Any Professional milestone you have achieved that
has made a difference in your career growth?
In my career, I have
learned hands-on working with mentors and got trained. At the same time, I have
spent time doing personal-level certifications.
Here are some of the
certifications I completed in my career. These have helped me to evolve my
career and mark very important professional milestones.
NLP Subconscious
Reimprinting
Memory and Student NLP
coach
Certified Public Speaker
Certified Past Life
Regression Hypnotist
Certified Basic
Eriksonian Hypnotist
8. Any
suggestions you want to give to the new entrants in your field of the
profession?
The new entrants should
know, to be a good life coach we have to fundamentally be a good person. The
profession requires a caring attitude and a listening capability foremost.
As I suggested about
certifications, please take proper training and certifications as it may
benefit them a lot. Don’t go behind money. Go behind genuine help to others.
Rest all falls in place.
9. Where do you want to see yourself in the next
5 years now?
In the next 5 years from
now, I would continue to be a Life Coach, Author, and Mental Health Counsellor.
I would continue extending my selfless and genuine services towards many more
needy people and make difference in their lives.
